Joel Chernoff, is the founder, the composer and lead singer of “Lamb”, the contemporary music group that pioneered the sound that today has become known as Messianic Praise and Worship. With record labels such as Sparrow and Maranatha, the music of Lamb sold nearly 600,000 units over a span of 12 recordings, many of which reached Top 10 status on the contemporary Christian charts.

Beside recording and singing for the Messiah, Joel is a well known international speaker and is currently Vice President of the International Messianic Jewish Alliance as well as General Secretary of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA). The International Messianic Jewish Alliance is the largest affiliation of Messianic Jews in the world today with 18 national member alliances as well as the largest organized expression of the Jewish revival. The MJAA is the largest of the 18 national Alliances. In his roll as General Secretary of the MJAA Joel is responsible for moving over $70 million worth of humanitarian aid to Israel as well as Ethiopia.

Joel Is a Messianic Jew and was brought to the Lord at the age of 12 by his father, who was the Messianic Rabbi of Congregation Beth Yeshua (House of Salvation) in Philadelphia before he went on to be with the Lord. Joel is now an Elder at Beth Yeshua, which is one of the largest Messianic Jewish congregations in the world today.
